Roof rejuvenation
Roof rejuvenation on thesouthern Oregon coast
01 · Why coast shingles dry out
Wet winter. Dry summer. Both take a toll.
Asphalt shingles stay flexible because of the oils in them. Here, the roof spends the winter soaked, then spends the summer in the sun. July averages 0.39 inches of rain. Months of dry heat pull those oils out.
A shingle that loses its oils turns brittle. It cracks, sheds granules, and lets go when the winter wind comes through. Most roofers call that age and quote a replacement. Often, the shingle can be brought back.
02 · What the treatment is
It goes in. It doesn't sit on top.
Our treatment is a water based emulsion of chemically modified soybean oil, engineered for asphalt shingles. Sprayed across the roof, it soaks into the shingle and replaces the oils that have been lost.
It is not a coating. It does not form a film. It brings back the flexibility the shingle needs to ride out storms. It's biodegradable, and your existing shingles stay on the roof, so nothing goes to the landfill.

05 · Eligibility and guarantee
Does my roof qualify?
- Asphalt shingle roof
- Still sound underneath
- No active leaks or structural damage
- Applied in a dry weather window
Every treatment carries a 6 year guarantee in writing. When the six years are up, we come back, look at the roof with you, and decide together: treat it again or replace it.
Rejuvenation is preventive care for sound asphalt shingles. It does not fix leaks. Our free inspection confirms whether yours qualifies, and we'll tell you straight if it doesn't.
